Opera 3 SQL SE investment
Investing in Opera 3 SQL SE will protect your business as you move into the future. The modern client server application design of this accounting software and the technology it is built on, means that this system will continually deliver intelligent additions to its functionality. Your investment in Opera 3 is an investment in your business.

Data security
The security of your business data is vitally important; hence why SQL SE uses Microsoft SQL Server to provide the data storage. Updating the data is by a secure method called the Pegasus Opera Service, which controls the flow of data to and from the Microsoft SQL Server databases. In addition there is a secure Windows file repository for reports and files created within Opera 3 SQL SE.

XRL enhanced security
Reporting roles are now within Pegasus XRL for SE. These enable an intermediary level of data access security and allow the administrator to restrict XRL users from accessing certain modules within the system. Future version of Opera 3 SQL SE will adopt the use of these Reporting Roles to control access to the data.

Data Health Checker
Opera 3 SQL Se has strict database rules for the data held in the software; for example invoice totals must equate with the sum of the invoice detail lines. The database health checker completes these checks prior to the data migration from other editions of Opera 3, ensuring that the SQL SE system has valid data after migration.

Third Party Development
Designed with customisation in mind, Opera 3 SQL SE allows Apps to be created which can be simply deployed within the system. If the App does not function as required, it can be easily removed. The new Developers Integration Toolkit makes creating and deploying these bespoke Apps within the system a simple process.

Data Intensive Processes
Opera 3 SQL SE runs many heavy duty data intensive processes (DIPs); from period ends to payroll updates. These run in the background on the server side of the application, minimising the impact on your network and allowing you to move on to other activities within Opera 3 SQL SE. Some of these DIPS can be scheduled to run outside working hours to avoid disruption and clashes with other processes.
